Cool idea... Designer Hospital Gowns

These sisters made their mother, who was having an extended stay in the hospital, some stylish hospital gowns.  They used this pattern.  What a nice gift!

How cute are these?

And they seem pretty easy to make too.  I wonder if the boss would wear them.

This is so clever...

Kathy Barbro over at Art Projects for Kids has pdf murals of famous paintings (that the kiddos can color for themselves) available for $5.  This Seurat is 28 pages.  I am pointedly impressed!  It is one of my favorite paintings of all time!  I have seen studies of this (somewhere in Europe) and the final (Chicago.)

A cute idea...

I'm going to keep an eye for these cubes from Carolee's Creations.  The cubes pictured are made from cardboard and could even be used as gift boxes.  I think wooden cubes would be a bit nicer.

Just found some wooden blocks (but no tray yet) here.

Big Ideas

  1. Nativity seene for the shuffleboard court. The plans are available from Woodzone.
  2. I saw a painted wooden tray with a William Morris print in the bottom of it in a recent museum Christmas catalog.  I can't find it online (it says no image available) but I want to remember it!  I think it would be relatively simple to make with Mod Podge. I will probably use an Amy Butler fabric print.  Then I'd have a convenient way to stow the Bible study teas and cocoas.
  3. This one I need to share with R.  It is from UK lass in the US and I saw some similar ones on a friend a couple of days ago.  C's were red and had a different feathery-fringy yarn for the cuffs.  They were so cute! I should have taken a picture!  They looked a little like this:

P(s)iP

  1. A scarf out of fabric that feels like moleskin with some beaded trim.  Ugh, but I'm out of thread so it is still in progress....
  2. Covered letters for the boss's room -- cardboard, batting, fabric, mod podge .... still missing an L and an N.
  3. Covered letters for some great little guys who belong to my dear friend.... Letters ready, but awaiting that perfect fabric.
  4. My friend's knitted scarf! -- Thanks to the boss, some reconstructive surgery is in order.
  5. Boss outfits perfect in every way, just need to get started.
  6. Boss's stocking -- the facade is finished, it just won't hold any thing. :-)
